The Green Leaf Café is open inside the newly

LEED certified Mosler Lofts condo building.

It has become increasingly difficult to really know what we are consuming each time we eat and drink. The vision of the Green Leaf Café is to offer our customers an organic and all natural selection to the traditonal food and beverage options that we see in most cafés and coffee houses today. Our daily menu offering will include pastries, snacks, homemade sandwiches, salads, and soups in addition to all the traditional coffee and tea based beverages.

To reduce the amount of waste that our cafe produces, all of the cups, containers, packaging, and food preparation tools used at the Green Leaf Café will be either recyclable or biodegradable. All of our food disposal waste system is also part of the Cedar Grove composting program.

In an effort to provide the highest quality products to all of our customers, whenever possible we will be using organic or all natural products in all of our menu offerings. Many of our fruits, vegetables, breads, and pastries are supplied through the Seattle farmers market, different local vendors, and bakers on a daily basis. Additionally, all of our tea products are both organically grown and traded at fair market prices. Our coffee selections represent the regions of Africa, Latin America, and Indonesia and are organic and roasted locally to ensure the freshness and flavor of the beans. While most decaffeination processes use chemical solvents such as Ethyl Acetate or Methylene Chloride, our organic decaffeinated goes through a 100% chemical free SWISS WATER process protecting the unique characteristics and flavors of our coffee.
